I just got a pencil case that's just one long zipper. Best day of my life.
quimbycub asked: I haven't done a ton of clicker training, but I want to try it with my young JRT. Any tips?
Read as much as you can—I like Karen Pryor’s how-to book. It’s pretty easy to follow. Kikopup has a youtube channel with really great tips, too. Mostly; find what’s rewarding to YOUR dog. When my Elsie was a wee baby, she had very little interest in food, so we used a lot of toys (we still do!). My boyfriend’s dog doesn’t love toys, but will eat anything, so we use mostly food for him. Keep sessions short; like one to two minutes, especially for a young dog. Raise criteria slowly. If the dog fails, take it down a couple notches. Have fun! Training is a game; the dog is your friend. You can do this!@18 hours ago with 2 notes
